The Problem
- Daher Interior Design needed to overhaul their existing website with a new design on a tight schedule before their company would be featured in a major news article.
- They needed the website to match the original design created by their marketing firm.
- They wanted to be able to add new content and blogs easily without any code.
- They required their existing website content be transitioned to the new website.
Plan of Attack
The first step towards implementing the design built for Daher Interior Design was understanding the design and the interactions that the designers intended for the design. We met with their marketing firm to understand their design objectives and the many ways that they anticipated users would interpret and interact with the design.
From there, the technology components were outlined to best compliment the design in terms of overall functionality for the end user. We then worked directly with Daher to understand their requirements for creating and updating content on their website, among any other requirements.

Development
Once the final design guidelines and style guide were passed to Redline, we immediately began development. The first step in the web development process was the creation of the design using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Custom interactions were implemented to complement the design, such as a scrolling carousel for the multiple steps of the Daher Interior Design process, or the dynamic filtering of their project work.
The Redline team then integrated the WordPress content management system, chosen due to its ease of use. We leveraged Wordpress to build custom PHP components to allow Daher to add and modify client projects, press articles, and blogs. In addition, we implemented basic SEO to improve search results for their new website and integrated SSL for a secure browsing experience.
Finishing Touches & Deployment
Daher Interior Design had a tight deadline to meet in order to have the website ready for visitors before their major publication went live. Redline worked tirelessly to ensure that all content was properly placed and migrated to the new website and that all of the features and functionality of the new website exceeded Daher’s expectations. When the development and content migration was successfully finished, we were able to launch the new website with time to spare!
